Biography

The Sleep Center’s medical director, Dr. Jakdej Nikomborirak, MD, is a board-certified sleep specialist through the AASM.

Before coming to Port Townsend in 2000, Dr. Jak Nikomborirak was with the Sound Sleep Clinic in Sequim, WA, for six years. Known to his patients as “Dr. Jak,” he currently works for Jefferson Healthcare Sleep Medicine, a sleep clinic affiliated with Jefferson Healthcare located in Port Townsend. Dr. Jak is the Medical Director of the Sleep Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. His areas of interest include sleep apnea, insomnia, and other sleep disorders. Dr. Jak is involved with the CPAP group, “Continuous Positive Airway Pressure”, a support group which meets monthly at Jefferson Healthcare. In addition, he is a lecturer for physicians and public meetings.

Hobbies

Married with two children, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and participating, when time allows, in many other outside activities.
