Infusions and Injections
Our outpatient infusion services provide a wide variety of infusion therapy options, from chemotherapy to allergy injections. A dedicated care team administers treatments and injections in a clean, and welcoming space with views of the Puget Sound and downtown Port Townsend.
A DEDICATED TEAM
Our team of Infusion Nurses and Pharmacists provide care as directed by the ordering physician. Whether the medication is one-time, or requires multiple treatments, the team coordinates directly with the prescribing provider to ensure expected clinical outcomes for the infusion therapy are achieved.
INITIATE CARE
The prescribing provider initiates the referral process to the Infusion Center by sending a written order to the e-fax at 425-259-8627. Once received, our staff will review the need for insurance authorization and our pharmacists will ensure the order is accurate and complete.

How long will I be at the Infusion Center?
Treatment times vary according to the medications administered as ordered by your doctor. Your care team in the Infusion Center can provide more details about your personalized treatment.
Can I have visitors?
Yes, family and friends over 12 years old are welcome. Please limit the number of visitors at your chair to one at a time.
Can I drive myself?
On your first visit, it is a good idea to come with someone who can drive you home. Some medications may cause drowsiness. After the first visit, many patients learn that they can safely drive themselves home.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable clothing with easy access to start your IV therapy. If you have a port-a-cath access device, please wear a front-button shirt or a V-neck shirt to allow easy access to the chest. We have warm blankets for added comfort.
The infusion patient needs one-on-one assistance with daily living needs. Will the infusion center provide this?
Because we are an outpatient facility, we are unable to provide one-on-one staffing. If a patient requires a high level of assistance, we ask that a family member or aide accompany the patient. However, if the patient needs assistance with walking and getting out of the chair, our trained staff is happy to assist.
May I bring my laptop and mobile phone?
Yes, Jefferson Healthcare has wireless internet access available for our patients. Please bring headphones for your laptop or phone if you are using speakers. We ask that you are thoughtful, courteous, and respectful of the people around you.
What kinds of medications do you administer?
We can accommodate most infusion therapies prescribed by your physician. We commonly administer: blood products, Prolia, Reclast, Remicade, Actemra, Orencia, iron, Ocrevus, IV antibiotics, Xolair, and allergy injections.
