Respiratory Care

Improve the Quality of Your Life

A multi-disciplinary program providing, testing, therapy, support and education to stabilize or improve the consequences of lung conditions or disease.  Our Respiratory team of board-certified therapists provide routine and emergent services in all areas of the hospital from newborn to geriatric patients.

Steps to ensure your safety

Our COVID-19 response ensures that every person entering the hospital and clinics is screened for temperature and respiratory illness symptoms.  Universal masking is in place for all patients, visitors, and employees.  Exam rooms and waiting areas receive extra cleanings and we have created physical distancing between patients.

Inpatient Therapy

Our therapists use medications as well as chest physio-therapy and lung recruiting modalities to treat chronic and acute respiratory disease.

Pulmonary Function Testing

The first hospital on the peninsula to use state of the art plethysmography equipment to help providers diagnose pulmonary disease. Respiratory therapists test for a variety of pulmonary diseases using spirometry, plethysmography, and diffusion.

Exercise and Education

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is offered to manage lung disease, maintain healthy behaviors and reduce and control breathing difficulties.

Patient Support

Patients with chronic lung diseases are more prone to depression, anxiety, and other emotional problems. Our support group can give you the extra support needed.
