Biography

Wes Schott has been helping individuals optimize their own health since 1991 and has emphasized prevention, wellness, fitness, patient education, medical screening, and individualized care in hospitals, medical clinics, physician offices, fitness gyms, and in people’s own homes. Wes was trained at the University of San Diego and is a nationally certified Family Nurse Practitioner, specializing in Endocrinology. He has worked at the prominent Advanced Metabolic Care + Research endocrine specialty clinic in San Diego, CA, spent 5+ years as a registered nurse in medical, surgical and emergency medicine, as well as 14 years as a physiologist and counselor at the prestigious Scripps Center for Executive Health in La Jolla, CA. Wes came to Port Townsend in 2011 after spending many summer vacations in his extended family’s hometown. Wes is excited to bring expanded endocrine expertise to his Northwest community home.

Philosophy

Wes’ core philosophy centers on individualized medical care. He specializes in coaching diabetic and continuing care patients through effective patient education, an emphasis in prevention, and by collaborating with patients – encouraging them to participate fully in decisions central to their medical life.
