Char Adels shares that “you really don’t have to be too technical to use telehealth,” and that anyone with a smartphone, computer, or tablet with an internet connection can connect with their telehealth provider with ease.

“There are so many busy working professionals who are unable to take time away from work to make it to a doctor’s appointment,” she says. Then there are the “busy moms and dads who are staying at home with kids all day and it’s really just not conducive to their day to pack up all the kids in the car and bring them to a doctor’s appointment.” For working people and people with families, telemedicine offers a more convenient alternative.

“And then, there’s also people who perhaps no longer drive or have poor mobility,” continues Adels. For them, “it’s just a lot easier for them to stay at home and access healthcare from there.”
