Biography

Leslie recently moved to the area with her wife and dog.  She enjoys backpacking, kayaking, and anything to do with a bicycle.  In her past, she worked for three months on top of the Greenland ice cap at a climate science station as the sole medical provider for the camp.  She has also worked in remote Alaska and tropical Ecuador.  She responded to the 2021 earthquake in Haiti and has taught wilderness medicine to medical students.  She finds these experiences have kept her curious and remind her to continue to be curious about people and possible medical etiologies.

Philosophy

Leslie Brooks practices a shared decision-making approach to her practice and uses quality of life as the guide for providing the best up-to-date care practices that align with each individual’s goal for their overall health and life.  She understands how complex healthcare can be to navigate and truly believes everyone should have an advocate and access to good healthcare for themselves.  Her aim is to create a trusting relationship and provide access to the most current information about health and disease processes so together the best decisions regarding health can be made.
