Biography

Dr. Harold Bohman was a Captain in the US Navy from 1972 through 2011. He began as a staff surgeon in Guam, Bethesda, MD and Oakland CA from 1980 through 1992. He went onto become the Head of Surgery at the Naval Hospital in Camp Pendleton, CA. He was deployed as a surgeon to Beirut, Lebanon, in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm in the Arabian Gulf. He was Chief of Professional Services in Mogadishu, Somalia; in Northern Egypt, and in Northern Kuwait (Operation Iraqi Freedom), Al Anbar Province, Iraq and in Operation Enduring Freedom in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He retired from the military in September of 2011. He has written numerous publications and presented on surgery, trauma and combat casualties at a variety of conferences and conventions around the United States.
