Jefferson Healthcare is proud to welcome Jacob D. Stokes, MT (AAB), LSSBB as the new Director of Laboratory Services. Jacob is a recent resident of Phoenix, AZ, and chose Jefferson Healthcare to serve a community hospital in a small rural community. As the director, he will oversee essential in-patient and out-patient lab services including our in-house COVID Testing.
In recent weeks, the Laboratory Department, led by Jacob, have produced COVID self-swab collection kits to make it easier for individuals with mild COVID-like symptom to test and isolate. Lab staff creates and processes the kits. They are distributing over 100 kits every day. Critical work to keep our community healthy.
With 23 years of laboratory experience, a Bachelor of Science degree from Wilmington National University, and a Medical Technologist certification, Jacob is enthusiastic to work with his team to provide the best care and service for our community. His current team is dedicated and supportive and very eager to expand. Jacob and his team are currently looking for certified Laboratory Assistants and experienced Medical Laboratory Technicians to join their team.
