Temperature Screening Upon Entry

March 23, 2020

Beginning Monday, March 23, 2020, Jefferson Healthcare will implement temperature screening for all persons entering the main hospital and clinics. This new screening policy will apply to all persons (including employees, providers, student volunteers, and agency staff), and will be conducted before the start of all employee shifts.

Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, it is our responsibility first and foremost to keep our patients, staff, and community safe.

All persons with a temperature equal to or greater than 100.4 will be masked and asked to return to their car and call the Nurse Consult Line for COVID screening.

It is also strongly encouraged that everyone practices social distancing while in line waiting for the screening. In this changing situation, Jefferson Healthcare is doing what we can to protect the safety of staff, patients & the community and is asking for leader and employee support in doing so.
