On May 18 and 19 we celebrated Rhody Weekend. We were on the scene for two of the most important events in our community, the Jefferson Healthcare Rhody Run and Rhody Festival Grand Parade. Read on to get the full story!

May is Rhody Festival season in East Jefferson County, and one of our favorite times of year. Jefferson Healthcare supported the Jefferson Healthcare Rhody Run and the Rhody Festival Grand Parade on May 18 and 19. In this article, we’ll share the highlights from this year’s festivities as well as some of our favorite photos.
Our thanks go out to the entire community for making this such a memorable weekend. From parade attendees to Rhody Run participants, from volunteers to organizers, this special time of year is a team effort, and wouldn’t be possible without the energy and dedication of a great many people.
Over 900 people participated in three Rhody Run races on Saturday May 18. In addition to the 10k and 5k courses, there was also a kids run for those under the age of 5.

In addition to being the premier road race East Jefferson County and a core community event, the Jefferson Healthcare Rhody Run benefits local youth organizations. Proceeds from the race go to nonprofits such as Jumping Mouse Children’s Center and East Jefferson Rivals Sports.

The white Jefferson Healthcare van is hard to miss, and we had a great time taking it through down on Sunday May 18 during the Rhody Festival Grand Parade.

2024 was the 89th year of the Rhody Festival, and the parade is one of our favorite Rhody activities. A full contingent of Jefferson Healthcare staff and their loved ones participated in the parade, and we were proud to represent our community along with numerous other local organizations.
