Join us for a free seminar on living well with Parkinson’s disease, supported by a community grant from the Parkinson’s Foundation. This event is essential for patients and caregivers to learn about treatment options and support.

Kelly Ramirez, MD

Jefferson Healthcare’s new general neurologist, Kelly Ramirez, MD, treats various conditions related to the brain, spinal cord, and nerves, including Parkinson’s disease. She says, “I feel fortunate that by providing comprehensive neurological care for patients and their families, I can meet my life’s purpose.” Dr. Ramirez’s presentation covered what patients can expect when they undergo a Parkinson’s examination. 

Laurie Mischely, ND, PhD, MPH

Laurie Mischley, ND, PhD, MPH, specializes in treating and managing Parkinson’s Disease. Her presentation focused on the nutritional requirements unique to individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. She studied naturopathic medicine (ND) at Bastyr University and epidemiology (MPH) and nutritional sciences (PhD) at the University of Washington. Dr. Mischley maintains a small clinical practice at Seattle Integrative Medicine focused on the nutrition and neurological health of patients with Parkinsonism.

Becky Steffens, DPT, shared information about local resources for patients with Parkinson’s disease, such as support groups and classes.
