Friday, January 13, 2023 – Jefferson Healthcare is thrilled that Governor Inslee has included the Jefferson Reproductive and Gynecological Health Project in his proposed 2023-2025 budget for $3 million. This initiative, part of the Jefferson Healthcare campus modernization and expansion project, focuses on ensuring that Jefferson County residents have access to state of the art, full spectrum reproductive and gynecological (OB/GYN) healthcare. The community demand for advanced technology has expanded, and we have outgrown what we can offer in our current space. This funding will build out larger clinical areas and additional procedural and surgery areas that are critical supporting the vast array of consultations, procedures, and treatments that are centralized through our OB/GYN clinic, including our elective abortion services. Jefferson Healthcare is committed to providing the highest quality, most patient-centered care to patients seeking reproductive or gynecological health services, limiting the need for patients to travel outside of our county. This project is rooted in equity and ensures that our rural community has access to these reproductive services right here at home. Jefferson Healthcare is deeply grateful to Governor Inslee for his support and looks forward to moving this project forward.
“Jefferson Healthcare is committed to providing comprehensive reproductive healthcare services because we believe our community deserves and is entitled to nothing less,” Mike Glenn, CEO of Jefferson Healthcare
Jefferson Healthcare will begin construction of a new medical office building to replace current outdated structures in the summer of 2023. Jefferson Healthcare will expand the existing services of obstetrics and gynecological, outpatient surgical services, and dermatology, as well as create new service line space for radiation oncology, pulmonology, neurology, and ear, nose and throat.
