Jefferson Healthcare is proud to announce a connection with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) Peninsula, an established state-of-the-art radiation oncology clinic located in Poulsbo on the Kitsap Peninsula. SCCA Peninsula is the only site west of Seattle to earn full accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR), the leading organization in establishing quality standard for radiation oncology facilities.
In addition to the connection, Jefferson Healthcare has added five new oncology providers to the award-winning Oncology Clinic for a total eight practicing providers. The team of dedicated cancer care experts at Jefferson Healthcare provide a wide spectrum of care and support services, from breast cancer surgery to chemotherapy and lung cancer screenings. The accredited cancer center allows patients to stay close to home while receiving the treatment they need.
Drs. Heath Foxlee and AnnaLiisa McGlinn join the team through the partnership with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) Peninsula. This new partnership will allow patients to have consult appointments at Jefferson Healthcare while receiving their radiation treatment at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) Peninsula, reducing the amount of travel time for patients in the program. The partnership allows for seamless sharing of patient records and notes and easier provider access.
Dr. Foxlee has cared for radiation oncology patients on the Olympic Peninsula for almost 30 years and has offered consult appointments on an informal basis with Jefferson Healthcare for the last nine years. Dr. McGlinn, strongly identifies with the SCCA vision of collaboration in the pursuit of better, longer and richer lives for our patients.
Dr. Deborah Abrams and Mary Towns, ARNP also recently joined our team. Dr. Abrams is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. She believes cancer care is a team effort that requires dedicated participation from everyone involved. Ms. Towns, has broad experience caring for patients undergoing cancer treatment, coming to us from the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, UT. She is excited to be part of a team who works so well with one another and has such an obvious show of mutual respect.
To round out emotional and mental support services, Tess Taft, MSW, LICSW has joined our Oncology Team at Jefferson Healthcare. She is an oncology psychotherapist who has provided therapy to people with cancer and their loved ones in hospitals, cancer clinics, homes, nursing homes and hospice settings for more than 35 years. Tess is also a certified specialist in Interactive Guided Imagery and uses this tool in her practice to help people diminish stress, pain and other symptoms. She is committed to serving people whose life-threatening diagnosis has propelled them on a journey inside themselves to find emotional and spiritual healing and wholeness. She is very excited to be joining the Jefferson Healthcare team.
