Jefferson Healthcare Secures $1 million for Imaging Access Project
January 28, 2026

One million dollars in federal funding will contribute a new imaging clinic in Port Ludlow. The new clinic will make imaging care easier to access for South County residents.
Jefferson Healthcare has secured $1 million in federal funding to support its Imaging Access Project, an initiative that will expand local imaging services for residents of South Jefferson County.
The funding was included in the Fiscal Year 2026 federal appropriations package and will support construction and equipment for new imaging services in Port Ludlow. The project is designed to improve access to diagnostic imaging while reducing travel time for patients living in the most rural communities in East Jefferson County.
Expanding Imaging Services in South County
The Imaging Access Project will bring diagnostic imaging services closer to many patients, helping ease the challenges associated with traveling long distances to receive care.
The project will support the opening of a new clinic in Port Ludlow that will offer advanced diagnostic scans and other imaging services for those living in and around Port Ludlow, Quilcene, and Brinnon.
Once complete, the expansion is expected to serve more than 2,000 patients each year, improving continuity of care and allowing patients to receive essential diagnostic services closer to home while supporting earlier diagnosis and treatment.
This project reflects Jefferson Healthcare’s commitment to supporting Jefferson County residents in receiving high-quality, full-spectrum care within their own communities.
Part of Broader Regional Infrastructure Funding
The $1 million awarded to Jefferson Healthcare is part of a larger federal funding package totaling $17.9 million for projects across Washington’s 6th Congressional District. The funding supports a variety of infrastructure, healthcare, and community projects throughout the region.
Jefferson Healthcare’s project is listed as the Jefferson Healthcare Patient Imaging Project in the federal allocation.
Appreciation for Congressional Support
Jefferson Healthcare thanks Representative Emily Randall for her support of the Imaging Access Project, including her letter of support submitted in May 2025 and her role in advancing the project through the federal funding process.
“We are immensely grateful to Representative Randall for supporting the Jefferson Healthcare Imaging Project,” said Jefferson Healthcare CEO, Mike Glenn. “This project will bring necessary provider and specialty imaging services to Port Ludlow, and we are excited to bring important diagnostic imaging services a bit closer to South County communities so they can get the timely care they need.”
