Free Seminar: Vertigo, Dizziness & Concussions – Signs & Symptoms

Jefferson Healthcare Rehabilitation Natalie Irwin, MSPT, CT-LANA will host an education lecture on Dizziness and Concussions Wednesday, September 11th, 4:00-5:30 pm in the Wellness Center in the QFC Plaza.

Young or old, dizziness or symptoms of vertigo should not be left unaddressed.  A minor fall or a traumatic head injury can lead to more complicated issues.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates 3.8 million sports or recreational-related concussions occur each year. However, it has been estimated that at least a third of concussions are not sport-related, for example, they can result from injuries sustained from falls or motor vehicle accidents. Know the right questions to ask about head injuries and learn the signs and symptoms of concussions and other causes of dizziness.

Irwin is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist with clinical interests in concussions/traumatic brain injuries, cerebellar stroke, lymphedema and oncology.  “I am excited to be part of such a wonderful team at Jefferson Healthcare and I look forward to sharing my knowledge about head injuries and dizziness with the community”, says Irwin.
