The LGBT community is diverse. What binds them together as social and gender minorities are common experiences of stigma and discrimination, the struggle of living at the intersection of many cultural backgrounds. As a result, LGBT people face a common set of challenges in accessing culturally competent health services and achieving the highest possible level of health.
